The Role

Veeva OpenData Commercial supports the industry by providing reference data across the complete healthcare ecosystem, to support commercial sales execution, compliance, and business analytics. We drive value to our customers through constant innovation, using cloud-based solutions and state-of-the-art technologies to deliver product excellence and customer success.
The role leads a team of 6-8 data analysts with a strong focus on website data extraction. The team configures crawlers using our toolchain to extract data from websites. The data is handed over to our data platform for processing using Python configuration scripts. The role has a significant impact on customer success, as it is ensuring the freshness and availability of data for our customers. In addition to the crawlers, the team will work on classic analytical tasks, like ad-hoc reports and visual reporting.

What You'll Do

  • Lead a team of 6-8 analysts, including hiring and performance management
  • Manage the team’s workload together with product managers
  • Ensure the quality of the extracted data
  • Select the right tools for data extraction and crawling for the team
  • Ensure timely delivery of extracted data and reports

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience leading a technical team
  • Strong understanding of good practices, like version control or code reviews
  • Hands on experience building robust and scalable crawlers
  • Solid understanding of data structures and data models
  • Project and task management skills
  • Basic understanding of Python

Nice to Have

  • Experience with crawling tools like Mozenda or Zyte
  • Experience with Redshift
  • Experience with Veeva products, like Network
  • Understanding of tool evaluation procedures and vendor selection
  • Understanding of master and reference data management
