Make technology accessible – and customers happy.
Are you passionate about technology, enjoy working with Excel spreadsheets, and love it when things run smoothly? Join our dedicated Technical Sales team and help us deliver complex sensor solutions in a way that is clear, structured, and customer-friendly.
You’ll work closely with our end-customer sales team as well as our developers and administrative colleagues – acting as the bridge between customer inquiries, consulting, and preparing quotations. In this role, you’ll collaborate directly with our Head of Sales & Marketing (Andrea Wieland), allowing for quick feedback loops and direct involvement in strategic topics.
Our team currently consists of six permanent sales professionals, supported by scientific experts across various locations. With our agile approach, we promote ownership, open communication, and a positive culture around learning from mistakes – because we grow together.
Who we are
Founded in 2011, PyroScience GmbH is a leading SME in the field of cutting-edge opto-chemical measurement technology. Our solutions are used globally in science and industry – especially in the fast-growing sectors of environmental monitoring, life sciences, and biotechnology. The applications of our products are as exciting as they are diverse, ranging from deep-sea exploration to space research.
Location: Hamburg – Winterhude – easily accessible by public transport. Ideally, you’ll spend 80–90% of your time in the office during the onboarding phase.
Type of position: Flexible part-time schedule, between 20–30 hours/week
Salary: €35,000–€45,000 (full-time equivalent) plus bonus
Tasks
Your responsibilities – here’s how you could get started: - Get familiar with our helpdesk system and accounting software
- Create your first quotes and draft emails to customers
- Maintain Excel spreadsheets, build (more complex) pivot tables, and ensure data quality
Once you're up to speed, you'll take on responsibility for: - Preparing and sending technical quotations in close collaboration with the sales team
- Communicating with customers – in a friendly, clear, and solution-oriented manner
- Following up on leads and quote status (e.g., after trade fairs)
- Maintaining key sales metrics and KPIs
- Providing structured support to our technical consultants – you’re the link to the customer
- Exploring our products with curiosity – visiting our website is a great first step to get to know them
- Optional: There’s room to grow! If you're eager to develop further, there's potential for you to take on your own customer advisory responsibilities.

A basic technical understanding – you’re curious about how our sensors work and where they’re used
Proactive mindset and a strong team spirit
