IT Principal Project Manager (m/f/d)

Your new job includes

As a IT Principal Project Manager (m/f/d), you will be responsible for managing and coordinating complex, international IT projects, as well as strategic planning and ensuring the successful implementation of projects within the specified time and budget framework. You will work closely with various departments and serve as a central point of contact for the involved stakeholders. A particular focus will also be on the development of project management skills within IT. Additionally, you will promote an agile mindset within the teams and ideally have experience with IT projects in the retail sector.
In particular, you will
  • make informed decisions through business case calculations
  • be responsible for the overarching project planning and management of large and complex global IT implementation projects
  • coordinate and lead project teams, including internal and external resources
  • establish a "Centre of Excellence" for IT project management, support IT teams as a coach, and further develop our methodology
  • ensure the professional transition of a project into operational business
  • utilize agile working methods to bring the greatest benefit to the team and company

What you should bring along

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related fields
  • Several years of experience in leading IT implementation or rollout projects, ideally in a leadership position
  • Profound knowledge of project management methods and tools (e.g., agile methodologies, Scrum, PMP)
  • Ability to conduct complex economic evaluations in a structured and effective manner
  • Good industry knowledge and process competence in retail, as well as SAP know-how are advantageous
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German (at least C1) and English (at least B2)
