The University Hospital Ruppin-Brandenburg (UKRB) is a modern healthcare institution with highly specialized departments. For the development and implementation of innovative AI solutions in healthcare, we are looking for an experienced Senior AI Developer / Data Scientist (m/f/d) to join our team as soon as possible.
- Development and optimization of machine learning models with a focus on NLP and language models, primarily for medical applications
- Preparation and analysis of complex datasets from the Clinical Data Repository and other departments, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations
- Local deployment of AI solutions within the existing IT infrastructure of UKRB
- Contribution to innovative AI projects focused on medical applications, as well as supporting projects for administrative processes, logistics, and operational workflows
- Close collaboration with the IT department, medical informatics, specialized medical departments, and other organizational units
- Evaluation and integration of large language models for medical use cases and other applications within the hospital
- Development of data processing pipelines and automation of analysis processes

- A degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a comparable qualification with a focus on AI/ML
- Solid professional experience in developing and implementing machine learning models, with interest and initial experience in NLP
- Strong knowledge of Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, and modern ML frameworks
- Experience with deep learning approaches and willingness to familiarize yourself with current language model technologies (BERT, GPT, T5)
- Knowledge of medical data standards (HL7, FHIR) and experience with clinical data is an advantage
- Interest in medical applications and interdisciplinary projects across the hospital environment
- Understanding of data protection and IT security in healthcare
- Structured and independent working style with strong analytical skills
- Willingness to learn and enthusiasm for innovative AI technologies in healthcare
- Team spirit and communication skills for coordination with interdisciplinary teams
