Roles and Responsibilities:
- Drive our Generative AI strategy to align with organizational goals and advance drug discovery, clinical trials, and operational excellence
- Lead the conception, design, development, and deployment of impactful generative AI solutions, ensuring timely delivery while effectively managing resources, timelines, and stakeholder expectations
- Work closely with researchers, developers, project managers, and business stakeholders to seamlessly integrate generative AI solutions into existing workflows and systems
- Stay ahead of the curve with the latest advancements in generative AI technologies and methodologies, exploring and incorporating new tools and techniques to maintain a competitive edge
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with generative AI projects, addressing technical, operational, and ethical challenges
- Evaluate and manage relationships with external AI technology providers, cloud platforms, and research collaborators
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and ethical AI practices in the development and deployment of AI models
- Establish metrics and performance indicators to track the success of generative AI projects, continuously optimizing AI models and solutions
- Mentor and support the professional growth of team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
Personal Skills and Professional Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience in IT, including 7 years proven experience in AI/ML development
- At least 3 years of experience in Gen AI/NLP development is essential
- Experience with big data technologies and cloud-based AI/ML services like Azure Open AI or AWS
- Strong knowledge of AI/ML algorithms, NLP, and LLM techniques with a proven track record of delivering business value
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, with experience in analyzing complex datasets, building predictive models, and generating insights
- Pharmaceutical industry experience, especially in oncology, is preferred
- Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal
